Absolutely fantastic hotel set in a traditional style pub. It’s in a lovely location in the centre of Ripon. We went to the races as a group, the rooms were in a gorgeous court yard, the pub served traditional food as well where we enjoyed an evening meal. Every one loved their rooms and were very comfortable. Our stay included breakfast the next day which was lovely, the lady who served us was so friendly and attentive and the chef was top notch. Honestly could not fault our stay there at all as a group of 6, every single one of the group said how lovely it was and all want to visit again for another stay. We’ll definitely all be booking to come back again :-)

Very nice and welcoming people. We were only there to sleep, really, and it fitted the bill very well. Good beds. Very nice typical English breakfast, with extremely helpful and cheerful staff. No fancy extras, but who needs them? We’d stay there again. Only a very few minutes walk from Ripon Square, where there are lots of restaurants, cafes, and a tapas bar (which is really excellent). Cash point inside Sainsbury’s, which is through, and further through an opening in square, and not well signposted. Ripon is a bit noisy with traffic during day, but much quieter at night, although there seems to be a good social life. Cathedral worth visiting. Fountains Abbey (National Trust) definitely worth the few minutes’ driving, as really beautiful.

Ripon is a lovely town-sized cathedral city. The White Horse is located within easy strolling distance of the market square and the town's many shops, pubs and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great cooked breakfast made to order. Main bar/restaurant and rooms had been recently refurbished. Weather wasn't great while we were there, so good that it is possible to control the amount of heating in your bedroom. Kettle, tea/coffee and biscuits in the room. Outdoor table and chairs available (if you are in a courtyard room).

I was booked in for two nights as part of a bellringing tour in the area. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially at breakfast and accommodating of the large group I was in. My newly refurbished room was clean and very comfortable with a big bathroom.

The invidual rooms are converted stables in a courtyard out the back of the pub and are really quaint and amazing! They are really comfortable and they have everything you might need. The White Horse is in a really good location for a base where I went from and saw Ripon Cathedral, the Police and Prizon Museum and then onto the Workhouse. All of this was via the town square where the market was on.

Had a lovely one night stay at the White Horse whilst visiting our daughter and family in the area. Our accommodation was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed: Lovely and warm with very efficient heaters. The staff were all so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until we left. Our breakfast was great as usual cooked by the friendly owner. Thank you all.

John was really nice and very friendly the breakfast was nice with a lot of choice. Tea facilities in room and bottle water . The pub on a night had a good atmosphere and prices were reasonable.

The location in the midst of Ripon was great, and I loved being able to enter/leave my room in the stables when I felt like it. The bed was super comfy, great service with free bottles of water/shampoos/etc. Lots of breakfast options (the juice was amazing), friendly staff.

Well what a great find,after been let down by another stay we decided to book here,from walking in to leaving we were welcomed not only by staff but customers.we had a great night with all of them.Breakfast was brilliant,and steak pie was amazing. All home made....Dave,his wife and all the staff are so friendly. We have booked again for 2 nights at the e d of the month.
